Online PMP Exam Preparation Course - Weekends (November 2020)

This course is designed for individuals who are pursuing PMP certification and do not have the time to take the course on weekdays. the course will commence on weekends to accommodate the busy working schedule of professionals.

By the end of this course, participants will have a good understanding of the main concepts described in the PMBOK guide and will have the 35 contact hours required to be qualified for the PMP exam.

Training classes will commence from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends.

Course Description

This course is a pre-requisite to write the PMP exam.

The PMP® Certificate is the most recognized credential in the field of project management. This course is dedicated to helping students earn their certificate by preparing them to pass the PMP® exam. It focuses on key concepts in each of the PMBOK Guide’s process groups and knowledge areas.

Through discussion, workshops and real world examples, participants learn how to identify project components, organize them effectively and control the project from the earliest steps of developing the project charter through the final steps of closing a project

Ahmed is a highly skilled PMP® Instructor, speaker and mentor, with 30 years of hands-on experience as a Project Manager and a Project Management Instructor, including working with the PMI chapter as a volunteer Director.

Course Objectives

  • Define the role that projects and project management play in accomplishing the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Create a project charter, a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM).
  • Develop precedence relationships among tasks based on a WBS, a network diagram and critical path, and create a schedule that includes initial resource allocations.
  • Assess major schedule, cost, and performance risk elements and understand the approach for managing risks using qualitative as well as quantitative techniques.
  • Develop an approach for managing a high-performance project team.
  • Establish ways of monitoring schedule and cost performance using earned value techniques.
  • Determine key elements of communication plan to keep stakeholders acknowledged of progress, problems, and controls.
  • Establish a closeout strategy that will maximize the value of the project experience to the organization by capturing best practices and lessons learned.

PMP® Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the PMP® credential, candidates must meet certain educational and professional experience requirements.

  • A secondary degree (high school diploma, associate’s degree or global equivalent) with minimum 7,500 hours of professional experience in leading and directing project tasks, and
  • 35 contact hours of formal project management education

or

  • Four-year degree (bachelor’s degree or global equivalent) with minimum 4,500 hours of professional experience in leading and directing project tasks, and
  • 35 contact hours of formal project management education
